Summary:
To successfully implement adaptation measures to reduce vulnerability to climate changes, and/or to exploit possible advantages and positive impacts, several factors need to be present and certain levels of individual and institutional features are required. In this paper findings are presented from several studies performed with the same basic methodology and specific techniques that justifies a comparison and some general lessons learnt on the institutional aspects of climate adaptation.
