Two new Mistra-SWECIA Working Papers published
Mistra-SWECIA Working Papers No 3 and 4; "Downscaling extreme RCA3-precipitation for urban hydrological applications" by J. Olsson and U. Willén and "Furthering the Understanding of the Adaptation Space of Organizations" by P. Rudberg, are now published.
In Mistra-SWECIA Working Paper No 3 "Downscaling extreme RCA3-precipitation for urban hydrological applications" by Jonas Olsson and Ulrika Willén a simple stochastic downscaling sheme based on cloudiness and precipitation components is formulated and evaluated. Results presented are among other that no clear changes in the cloud cover are found in future climate projections and that large-scale and convective precipitation all increase gradually by some 20% by the period of 2071-2100.

In Mistra-SWECIA Working Paper No 4 "Furthering the Understanding of the Adaptation Space of Organizations" by Peter Rudberg the adaptation to climate change that is taking place in the Water supply and Wastewater (WW) sector of the Stockholm Region is investigated. The adaptation process is analyzed in terms of building adaptive capacity and implementing adaptive decisions. The results show that adaptation to climate change is occuring in the WW sector of the Stockholm Region. The adaptation is mainly taking the form of building adaptive capacity and there is only limited evidence of implementation of adaptive decisions.
