How will local rainfall change in the future

Jonas Olsson and Karolina Berggren address the difficult topic of climate change in local rainfall. There are expectations on more heavy precipitation with global warming and consequently more problems connected to rainfall and runoff in towns, cities and other built environments. Climate models simulate rainfall on global and regional scales, and their results need to be complemented with approaches to extract rainfall on local scales in order to study adaptation needs and possibilities in e.g. urban environments.
