New Science on the Physical Basis of Climate Change

Markku Rummukainen highlights a recent review on new climate science results compiled in part
within the Mistra-SWECIA programme. The review is focused on research results on the
physical climate system, including observations, modelling and projections, published since the
2007 Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change,
IPCC. The overall result is that the new research largely confirms and strengthens earlier research
results about the ongoing climate change, human influence and possible future climate change.
