Mistra-SWECIA Science seminar: "New and improved coordinated Global and Regional Climate Change Projections: CMIP5 and CORDEX"
This Mistra-SWECIA science seminar is hosted by SMHI. The seminar is devoted to presentations on CMIP5 (the 5th coupled model intercomparison project) and CORDEX (Coordinated Regional Down-scaling Experiment). CMIP5 and CORDEX, activities sponsored by the World Climate Research Program, are the main climate modelling efforts from which new results will be available ahead of the next (fifth) assessment report by the IPCC (AR5).

Mistra-SWECIA Science seminar: The effects of different energy sources and technological progress on climate change
Fossil energy and technological progress are two important factors that potentially influence climate change. Today, the main source of energy is fossil energy, and its use generates CO2-emissions with global warming as result. Technological progress can however improve the energy efficiency and potentially lead to the implementation of alternative clean energy sources that may partially or fully...
